Hi,

Today, an ENB test. I'm very glad and happy to do it. I always like to discover new visuals and new ideas.

The creator of this ENB is Labeatbeatbox. He has already created 30 ENBS. That's a lot.
Essentia ENB is not a popular ENB. By "popular", i mean not "famous"....well, peoples don't use it very much.
This is his last ENB. The ENB has 28 endorsements.....it's not a lot for sure. Alright, let's test!

So, what do you think? Bad ENB? Good ENB? Excellent ENB?
Of course, an ENB is a personnal choice, yours own sensations. But let's talk about it!

For the test, i used the 308 binaries. Then i installed ENB files. I edited the ENB local of course to make it work with my computer. I have just increased general settings of the ENB (high or very high in the ENB GUI - shadows,, reflection, SSAO, etc...)
I removed all black bars to obtain a full screen mode. That's all.

The ENB is cinematic..definitly. A lot of effects...massive effects (but less effects than Rampage or K ENB). The enb has a white sky. You don't have a vivid blue sky. That's not the ENB spirit. So, you don't see a lot of clouds.
The lens is very powerful and provides strong effects with the sun, the fire and all light sources.

Interiors are very dark. Well, in a sense, they are really realist and logical. A torch doesn't illuminate the entire room. Nights are dark too. You need a torch, a lamp or magic to see your path.

But when the day comes, the magic is revealed. The ENB is very good on textures...really amazing. Great shaders. Rocks, armors, plants, woods come to life. I was really impressed.

This quality doesn't affect FPS. I have already tried more demanding ENBS with less effects. Infact, the enb provides a strange result. It is cinematic but some results are very realist. It's a great mix.

The ENB is good for gameplay and screenarchery. It's fully playable and colors are lore friendly. Performances are the same as Rudy ENB or as Grim and Somber ENB. On normal settings, the ENB is very fluid.

Well, the ENB makes sense. Of course, you can tweak it to your taste, but the spirit is great and original. Labeatbeatbox worked a lot on it. I'm sure.

Strong points of the ENB : palette, reflection, performance, Lens, water and of course shadows and "blacks".
Yes, blacks are true blacks and shadows are high quality. Shadows are realist, so the sensation of dimension is perfect. Shadows are important for me. For me, a good ENB has good shadows and a good adaptation. Essentia ENB have them.

The modder recommends vanilla lightings and mods to remove fog.
So, the mod requires a very lightweight Skyrim. But you can use ELFX or other light mods, results are good too. Fog Mods are optionals in my opinion. If you don't use them, you will have more fog ....simply. Just do some tests. Personnaly, i think it works well with ELFX.

Just a small negative point : The subsurface scattering. The standard setting is very bad for males and females (too much red). Well, i edited it to obtain a better result. I give you my SSS setting if you want to showcase your sexy girl with this ENB 😁

 Well, it's a great ENB with lot of qualities, definitly underestimate in my humble opinion. This ENB is not exclusive. It can be used by a lot of peoples. But what do peoples want? lol, that's the question. I don't have the answer to this question, i can just give you my own feedback and impressions about this ENB.
I mainly use realist ENBS, but this ENB provides quality content and i'm charmed by its spirit.
The ENB hasn't a lot of endorsements...28 exactly (1 is mine), it wasn't a hotfile and will be probably not file of the month...but who knows.....
Well, the Nexus community decides of its own hits. Didn't get any visibility on Nexus but deserves an article on Skyrim Scandal.
